basketball star: John from North Carolina

Here is a sneak peek from a session we had on Friday.  This is John Moody and he flew in from North Carolina for his senior session.  John is the third son whose come to our studio and all three excel at basketball.  It was fun to be able to offer him something new and unique from his brothers portraits in the way of our new 20 ton waterfall and wood floor setting.  His images turned out great!  Stay tuned for his music video debut...

Recently, we had a great session with Leah from Hill-Murray.  She brought in her tennis equipment and we were able to make an awesome merge for her.  There's a little bit of history with the Baumann's, as Lance and Ceil have been friends with Leah's parents since the beginning of Lance Hill Photography... 25 years ago!!!

Last weekend we spent all of Saturday and most of Sunday creating a waterfall with 20 tons of boulders.  We had our first senior session (and family session) with our new favorite background and we are SO excited for all the others who will get to experience this tranquil backyard beauty! We were experimenting with some different techniques here at the studio and decided we love this one, called "Cutout".  Our image here is from a senior session recently of Maura from Irondale High School.  Pretty neat, eh?

Tony has just graduated from Irondale and will be attending Bethel University next year. He has a DJ company called Flash Productions which could come in handy for all of those graduation parties going on right now..... Good luck next year Tony!

Sarah Elizabeth Hill

Our middle daughter, Sarah, graduated from Mounds View High School last week and we couldn't be more proud of her!  We had a little get together over the weekend complete with grilled chicken, juicy watermelon, and a delicious cake from Keys Cafe.  Luckily the rain allowed us a few hours of celebration with friends and family!

Oliver, the infamous Yorkie

Today we had a mini-session with Oliver, a 2 year-old Yorkshire Terrier.  He was very energetic but we were able to grab some awesome images of him!  It helped that we had a handful of treats ready.  View samples from this session in the studio lobby!  

Our favorite is the little behind shot, it fits his personality perfectly.  We brush-stroked it to make it more like a piece of art to be displayed on the wall.
